Join the Ashoka U Team

In 2008, Ashoka U launched as a program of Ashoka, because after three decades of working with leading social entrepreneurs (over 3,000 in 70 countries), we realized that far more changemakers were needed to become the architects of a sustainable and flourishing society.

Will you join us to take this growing movement to the next level of influence in higher education? Ashoka U is facing immense opportunity, but we need a dream team to take advantage of them. Your contribution has the potential to leave a lasting legacy at Ashoka U.

Full Time Positions

Ashoka U is seeking entrepreneurial, mature, and experienced individuals to join our team across a variety of roles:

Exchange Manager

The Exchange is the world’s largest annual gathering for innovators transforming colleges and universities around the world into today’s hubs of social innovation. In its seventh year, the Exchange is Ashoka U’s primary tool for network gathering and awareness building with now thousands of previous attendees.

The Exchange Manager will work closely with the Exchange Associate Director to plan, organize and implement the Exchange. They will be responsible for helping project manage the many teams involved in making the Exchange a success, as well as leading many of the external facing communications platforms. We expect the Exchange Manager to be organized, resourceful, professional and able to take ownership of both strategy and operational efficiency as needed. They will join a fast-paced team of implementers and effective project managers and be immediately immersed in the worlds of higher education, social innovation, and event curation. A full job description is available here. If interested, please send a cover letter and resume to Beeta Ansari at

Growth and Partnerships Director

As the Growth and Partnerships Director, you will join our team at a critical moment as we continue to grow and expand all three Ashoka U  core programs: Changemaker Campus, the Exchange, and the Commons. To do so, the Director will develop an overarching strategy to effectively communicate Ashoka U’s system-changing goals, and results to date, to the most strategic individuals and institutions in order to change the field of higher education. In this context, we view scaling our work in terms of both breadth (reaching significantly more people) and depth (transforming relationships, structures, and systems) through a clear and focused thought leadership strategy.

The role will entail building and cultivating partnerships with higher education and social innovation networks; sharing compelling best practices for social innovation educational models in higher education and how to adapt them across different institutional types; and engaging key influencers with Ashoka U as the premier platform for social innovation in higher education.

Although this role is not specifically a sales position, the Director will work in close collaboration with the Ashoka U sub-programs to ensure that the thought leadership and outreach efforts contribute directly to specific growth (e.g. # of new Exchange attendees) and revenue targets (e.g resource sales). Your job is to make sure we are reaching the right people to move the needle in higher education as quickly, and effectively, as possible, while collaborating with Ashoka’s global team-of-teams to ensure that our messaging is aligned with Ashoka’s Everyone a Changemaker vision and partnership opportunities. A full job description is available here.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of relevant experience. Please send a cover letter and resume to Beeta Ansari at
