Jane Leu

Jane Leu is an Ashoka Fellow, internationally recognized social entrepreneur and expert on global migration, talent, and workforce issues.  As the Founder and Executive Director of Upwardly Global, she worked to create shifts in the hiring practices of companies that enable them to more effectively tap the pool of skilled and educated immigrant professionals produced by the developing world.  Additionally, as Founder and CEO of Smarter Good, she helped bring the benefits of global outsourcing to the nonprofit sector, by tapping into the talents of and creating jobs for global professionals.  Leu has been on the launch and founding side of numerous other enterprises and projects, including the craigslist nonprofit venture forum, RefugeeWorks, seven Welfare-to-Work programs, and the Hauser Research Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.  Leu holds a master's degree from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and a bachelor's degree from Tufts University.
