Stephen Huddart

Stephen Huddart is the President and CEO of the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation, a national private foundation based in Montreal, and focused on social innovation and resilience in Canada. Its current initiatives address innovation capacity across sectors; field building for impact investing; urban resilience and livability (Cities for People); sustainable food systems; Indigenous reconciliation; and other issues
Before the joining the Foundation Stephen was the Executive Director of the Troubadour Institute and Troubadour Music Inc., working with children’s advocate and entertainer Raffi. Prior to this he worked with the British Columbia SPCA, on innovations in animal-assisted therapy, humane food labelling and humane education. He also co-founded and operated a jazz café in Vancouver, and worked as a documentary filmmaker and on community development in Latin America. He has a Masters of Management degree from McGill University.
