Ashoka U Exchange takes place in Boston, Massachusetts
*We offer a limited number of student registration tickets. Once sold out, students must pay the $699 Early bird registration price.

Conference Location

The 2018 Exchange will take place at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, 39 Dalton St, Boston, MA 02199, in the heart of historic in Boston, Massachusetts.

Conference Accommodations

Ashoka U has a room block at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, 39 Dalton St, Boston, MA 02199. You can make your reservation online here or call the reservation office at 1-800-627-7054 (Group Code: ASHOKA U EXCHANGE). The deadline to reserve at the group rate is March 14, 2018 at 5:00pm ET.

Travel & Transportation

We suggest flying into Logan International Airport (BOS). The Sheraton is about 5 miles from Logan Airport. To and from the airport, you can use the following transportation methods to get into Boston. 

Taxi Service: Taxis are available at each terminal on Arrivals Level (curbside). Uber and Lyft also pick up at Logan.

Subway: Massport provides free shuttle-bus service between airline terminals and Airport Station on the MBTA’s Blue Line. MBTA Blue Line Subway services are available to and from Downtown Boston with FREE Silver Line Bus Rapid Transit service from all Logan Airport terminals to South Station.

How do I register for the Exchange?

Tickets for the 2018 Exchange go on sale on October 16, 2017.


How much does registration cost?

We have three price tiers that adjust based on when you register for the Exchange.

We limit tickets per campus – 4 student tickets per Changemaker Campus and 2 student tickets per non-Changemaker Campuses.


What does registration include?

Your Exchange registration includes:

  • Three action-packed days of content about social innovation education

  • Three plenary sessions

  • Access to presentations after the Exchange

  • Face-to-face time with the leaders in the field

  • Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks

  • Exclusive access the list of 700+ attendees and contact information

  • Platform to connect with other attendees (available before the conference)


How do I present at the Exchange?

About 70% of the Exchange content is selected from our community! To submit a presentation, please submit your presentation application by October 2, 2017. To be considered, you must answer a series of short and long-answer questions about your presentation topic. You can learn more about the specific themes and formats on the “Present” page of our website.

The majority of the presentations involve 3-4 experts and a moderator speaking on a topic or theme. The Exchange organizing team curates the panels, but we are open to presentations submitted by groups.

Are there scholarships available?

Ashoka U is able to offer a limited number of scholarships for individuals with demonstrated need who plan to attend the Exchange for the first time. Applications will open on October 16, 2017 and we’ll select scholarship recipients based on the selection criteria (listed below) on a rolling basis. Receipts of the Exchange scholarship with receive a reduced registration price of $475. More information is available on the Attendees page.


What is the refund policy?

Ashoka U will provide a full refund until December 15, 2017. A 50% refund will be offered from December 16, 2017 to February 15, 2018. Please contact Emily Lamb at elamb@ashoka.org if you would like to request a refund.
