Campus Change Accelerator
Eager to meet higher education innovators who have tackled the institutional change challenges that you are facing at your university?
Bring an experienced Changemaker Campus leader to your university as a partner to help you benchmark and build a world-class social entrepreneurship program across campus, OR, arrange a Changemaker Campus site visit.
What It Is
An accomplished Changemaker Campus change leader joins your university community OR you and/or colleagues visit a Changemaker Campus for a residency of 1.5 days.
Needs Addressed
Insights from experienced change leaders and Changemaker Campuses can accelerate the institutional change work to move from theory to practice, as the change leader shares how he or she addressed common barriers and challenges to building social innovation at his or her university. The change leader’s thoughtful analysis of your institutional context and transferable strategies will catalyze progress across administrators, faculty, student affairs, staff, and students. Equally, a Changemaker Campus site visit can bring social entrepreneurship and social innovation curricula and programming to life, and inspire you with innovative ideas for your own campus.
Evaluation
At completion of the residency, the university has:
- New ideas and models for advancing the social innovation program
- Changemaker Campus advisors, allies and/or collaborators
- New inisghts on effective angles for making the case for social innovation education to different stakeholders
- Aproaches to engaging campus community members across divisions
- A better understanding of effective strategies: what works, what doesn’t
Content
Our roster includes change leaders and their institutions with expertise in faculty engagement, establishing a center, curriculum-builing, effective marketing and communications work, as well as strategic planning. Here is a sampling of some of the possible elements of a residency or site visit:
- Panels or campus-wide events
- Change team meetings, workshops, and trainings
- Roundtables with faculty, staff and administrators
- Special meetings with administration and funders
Partnership Fees
We recommend a 1.5-day residency or site visit. The cost depends on program elements, the change leader’s going daily rate, plus travel and expenses. The residency/site visit fee includes preparation time and coordinating calls with both Ashoka U and the change leader. Your university assumes the cost and responsibility for arranging travel and accomodation, and in case of a residency, events, class visits and roundtables.
