Changemaker Campus Initiative

“The Changemaker Campus Initiative has positioned Tulane as a strong leader in social entrepreneurship education, and it ensures that Tulane has access to best practices in collaboration with other leading universities. We have had the opportunity to invest in innovative, scalable models without the frustrations of developing new programming in a vacuum. The Changemaker Campus consortium has been an ideal feedback loop.”
—Stephanie Barksdale,
Special Assistant to the President for Social Entrepreneurship Initiatives
Launched in 2008, the Changemaker Campus Initiative is a daring cross-sector collaboration experiment driven by Ashoka and the leading institutions in social entrepreneurship education to produce innovations for both the citizen and the higher education sector.
Changemaker Campus is a unique partnership opportunity between Ashoka U, students, faculty, staff and administrators. Together, with our partners, we aim to co-create a vision and plan of action to improve teaching, research and engagement opportunities in social entrepreneurship – both on campus and in the local and global communities in which we work. Throughout the partnership, Ashoka U acts as a facilitator to build social entrepreneurship education and create innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing problems, bringing together resources, experts, practitioners, and partners who are committed to working with today’s pioneering colleges and universities.
