Faculty in Residence
Are there faculty at your institution who are interested in developing courses in social entrepreneurship and social innovation? Are there faculty interested in exploring changemaking pedagogies and integrating principles of social innovation into courses across the disciplines?
Bring an experienced faculty of social entrepreneurship to campus to share subject matter expertise for teaching and research.
What It Is
An experienced professor of social entrepreneurship joins the university community for a residency of 1.5 days.
Needs Addressed
Our experienced faculty in social entrepreneurship can address concerns around the academic legitimacy of social entrepreneurship, and advise faculty interested in developing their own research agenda or course on social entrepreneurship, as well as assist faculty who are interested in integrating principles of social entrepreneurship and innovation into existing courses across many disciplines.
Evaluation
At completion of the residency, the university has evidence of:
- Increased faculty expertise in social entrepreneurship and social innovation
- Greater insight into cutting edge content for introductory, intermediary, and advanced courses in social entrepreneurship and innovation
- Ideas for cutting-edge and relevant research agendas in social entrepreneurship
Content
The program is customized to encourage participation from all stakeholders of the University community. Here is a sampling of some of the possible elements:
- Panels and campus-wide events
- Classroom visits
- Roundtables with faculty, staff and administrators
- Individual Advising/Office Hours
Partnership Fees
We recommend a 1.5-day residency, which costs $5,000, plus travel and expenses. The residency fee includes preparation time and coordinating calls. The university assumes the cost and responsibility for arranging all logistics.
