Arizona State University Changemaker Campus

As a New American University, Arizona State University is guided by eight design aspirations that influence its growth and transformation. Among these guiding principles is a deep commitment to valuing social entrepreneurship.

At ASU entrepreneurship is not confined to a single college or school, nor is it housed in one center or institute. Valuing entrepreneurship means that it is more than just a class or a program; it is a mindset that is woven into the fabric of the university, permeating every activity.

ASU students, faculty and staff in every discipline and at every level work to identify local and global needs, articulate how to meet them and implement entrepreneurial solutions.

Changemaker Central

Changemaker Central (CC), Changemaker Central (CC), a student-led university initiative with co-working spaces on all four ASU campuses, engages students in sustained social change by cultivating a culture that tackles local and global challenges. Changemaker operates with three levels of student engagement: 1) the Student Leadership Team (SLT) is responsible for the development of goals and strategies, 2) Change Agents staff the Changemaker Central spaces and interact with students, faculty, and the community, and 3) committee members implement university-wide programs and strategies to activate the student body and integrate students of all majors into social entrepreneurship initiatives.
