What It Is

An Ashoka U director joins the university community for a residency of 1.5 days.

Bringing Ashoka U to campus ensures that faculty, students, and institutional decision makers are aware of cutting edge practices in social entrepreneurship and social innovation education, ensuring informed decisions on how to advance social innovation programming at the university.

Evaluation

At completion of the residency, the university has evidence of:

  • Increased expertise in social entrepreneurship and social innovation as it relates to your institutional role (whether faculty, student affairs, administrators, or students)
  • Greater insight into cutting edge models and practices in social innovation education.
  • Access to social entrepreneurship and social innovation resources and tool kits for various stakeholder groups.

Content

For Students:

  • Changemaking 101: An introduction to social entrepreneurship
  • Social Change DIY: Skillsets and mindsets for aspiring social entrepreneurs and changemakers

For Faculty and Administrators:

  • An introduction to social entrepreneurship, Ashoka, and Ashoka U
  • Ashoka U and Changemaker Campuses: institutional case studies
  • Curricular Models: resources and key pedagogies in social entrepreneurship, social innovation, and changemaking

For Student Affairs and other crucial institutional divisions:

  • Co-curricular programming case studies in social entrepreneurship and social innovation
  • Communicating an institutional commitment: admissions, career services, alumni affairs, and/or the development office

For Administrators:

  • The Field of Social Entrepreneurship Education: how institutions are using social innovation as a key differentiator from competitors, to strengthen the institution’s value proposition to a variety of stakeholders, and building revenue generating programs
  • Institutional Case Studies: Models for building a thriving ecosystem for social innovation and social entrepreneurship, including staffing and financial structures

Partnership Fees

We recommend a 1.5-day residency, which costs $5,000, plus travel and expenses. The residency fee includes preparation time and coordinating calls. The university assumes the cost and responsibility for arranging all logistics.
