Addressing Race, Diversity, and Justice on Campus

Colleges and universities are eager to find meaningful and effective ways to address race, diversity, and justice on campus and in the community.

In recognition of this important need, Ashoka U is partnering with two Ashoka Fellows, Alisa Del Tufo of the Threshold Collective and Kathryn Hall-Trujillo of the Birthing Project USA to explore ways in which campuses can foster more inclusive changemaker communities.

Call for Abstracts – Special Section: Service-Learning and Social Entrepreneurship, Michigan Journal of Community Service Learning

The Fall 2017 issue of the Michigan Journal of Community Service Learning (MJCSL) will feature a special section on service-learning and social entrepreneurship. To be considered, send an abstract/précis (250 words max) to Sandra Enos at, the of the special section, by December 20, 2016. Please convey the focus/plan for the articles and include the lead author’s contact information.

Campus Dialogue Grants: “Realizing Higher Education’s Greater Purposes”

Campus dialogue grants provide support ($5,000 to $15,000) for one-year projects based around thematically integrated gatherings or dialogues. Successful proposals should demonstrate how the dialogues will facilitate the greater purposes of higher education: learning and discovery, well-being, civic engagement, and preparation for living meaningfully in the world. MA in Social Innovation, University of San Diego + Scholarship Info

University of San Diego has launched a Master of Arts in Social Innovation (MASI) at the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies. This full- or part-time program includes a capstone project that gives students the option to work on a real-world project and receive seed funding through USD’s Social Innovation Challenge. The application deadline is March 15, 2017. Note: 25% tuition discounts available to individuals in the Ashoka U community.

International Conference on Methodological Issues in Social Entrepreneurship Knowledge and Practice | January 18-20, 2017
