How Are You Driving Positive Change at Your University?

Ashoka U will be hosting TEDxAshokaU on Feburary 10, 2012 at Arizona State University and we have reserved two TEDxAshokaU “Wildcard” spots for one student and one staff member from a Changemaker Campus.

The theme of TEDxAshokaU will be disruptive Innovation in Higher Education and we are eager to hear about the “disruptive innovation” you are driving at your college or university.

So how can you get involved? All videos must be submitted via our Facebook page by October 21st and finalists will be announced on November 1, 2011. The student and staff speaker will then be chosen through a public vote on

How will you be judged?
Ashoka U will select 5 student finalists and 5 staff finalists on November 1st based on the following criteria:

    1. Disruptive Innovation: This is the main theme of the evening. Does the presentation embrace the power of individuals to make positive social impact in the university setting? Is this an “idea worth spreading?”
    2. Actionable: Will the audience be inspired and/or will they have the ability to take action as a result of your talk?
    3. Engaging: Will this presentation keep the audience’s attention? Will the audience gain new knowledge as a result of your talk?
    4. Impact and Scale: Does your idea have the potential for long-term impact and scale?
