The Commons is your invitation to accelerate goals for social innovation and changemaker education on your campus.

While you accelerate strategic, timely goals through your participation, you will also nurture your own leadership and journey as a changemaker.

We’ve designed this experience for you to make progress on goals that matter most to you, your campus, and the students you serve each day. This is your place to advance goals that intersect at the individual, institutional, and community levels. We offer 7 different cohorts to participate in that complement that goals you’re priortizing. Based on the needs/priorities you share in your application we’ll work with you to identify the best fit cohort for you.

In our Fall 2019 session of the Commons, you can expect a focus on:

  • Professional Development: Build broad field knowledge, interact with emerging insights/trends, and actively put them into practice. Participants gain concrete skills in areas necessary to develop and lead social innovation education.
  • Curated Connections: Develop strong ties with program peers and Ashoka U’s community of subject-matter experts. You’ll have access to numerous community dialogues, peer collaboration, and diverse presentations informed by our 10+ years of changemaker education leadership.
  • Guided Learning Journey: Each cohort is facilitated by a Coach with in-depth knowledge of social innovation education and a deeply aligned understanding of Ashoka U’s philosophy, approach, and methodology.
  • Connection to a Dynamic Network: As you forge deep connections with your program peers, coaches, and mentors, you’ll simultaneously have access to a Commons alumni community of 200+ individuals across the globe.

We are proud to have an alumni community of 200+ individuals and teams who have participated in the Commons to accelerate their commitment to changemaker education on their campuses.  At any point in your consideration, our team is happy to connect you with a Commons alum who can share their experience and advice around participation.
