Important Dates for the 2020 Exchange

*Ashoka U reserves 100 student tickets at a rate of $475. Once sold out, the student ticket price is $699.

Conference Location

The 2020 Exchange will take place in the Twin Cities. The first two days (April 16-17) of the conference will happen in downtown Minneapolis, MN and the final day (April 18) will take place at the University of St. Thomas. More details coming soon!





Conference Accommodations

Ashoka U will have a room block in the Minneapolis Marriott City Center which will open on November 12, 2019. Exchange attendees can receive a reduced rate of $159/night (plus taxes and fees), pending availability.






Frequently Asked Questions

How do I present at the Exchange?

75% of the content on the Exchange agenda is sourced from our community via an application process. The application process opens on August 15, 2019 and closes on October 1o, 2019.

We accept applications for Best Practice Sessions (group presentations), interactive workshops, and Big Idea Talks. We also accept applications for facilitators for Best Practice Sessions and Big Idea Talks. We invite submissions from all perspectives including faculty, staff, students, administrators, social entrepreneurs working in higher education, etc. The agenda will be selected by an Agenda Selection Committee.

How do I register for the Exchange?

Registration will open on November 12, 2019.

What does registration include?

Your Exchange registration includes:

  • Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks
  • Three action-packed days of content about social innovation education, including workshops, site visits, and other local activities
  • Three plenary sessions
  • Access to presentations after the Exchange
  • Face-to-face time with the leaders in the field
  • Exclusive access the list of 700+ attendees and contact information
  • Platform to connect with other attendees (available before the conference

How can I  make the case to attend the Exchange?

Is there an easy way to register a group?

Registration will open on November 12. If you have a group of 3 or more you’d like to register, please contact Araseli Lara at alara@ashoka.org.

How can I obtain a copy of my Exchange registration receipt?

Our ticketing system will email you a receipt to the email listed on your registration information. If you did not receive it, please contact Beeta Ansari at bansari@ashoka.org.

How can I share about my program with the entire Exchange community?

You can purchase an advertisement in the Exchange program to spread your message. A limited number available on a first come, first serve basis. All ads will be printed in color. Please contact Araseli Lara at alara@ashoka.org for more details.

What is the refund policy?

We are able to offer full and partial refunds for a limited time. More details coming soon.
