Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Exchange?

The Exchange will take place virtually on March 16-19, 2021. View a preview of our schedule here.

How will the Exchange be similar or different this year?

The 2021 Exchange will be the last one that Ashoka U hosts. We hope it will be a time to celebrate the amazing work of our campuses and our global colleagues who have worked tirelessly over the last 12 years to advance the field of social innovation education. It will be a forum to honor our combined impact and serve as a platform for campuses to connect with each other.

If you have crossed paths with Ashoka U and have been part of our journey to date, we want you there — whether as a speaker, a facilitator, or an attendee. If you have not yet engaged in one of our Ashoka U Exchange convenings, we invite you to join us and experience the magic, love, generosity, and collaborative spirit that emerges when we come together.

How can I present at the Exchange?

Our 2021 Presenter/Facilitator Application is now closed. All applicants will be notified on December 18th, 2020.

Interested in other opportunities to share your message? Each year, there are a variety of ways for us to engage, connect, and inspire each other. As we get closer to the Exchange, we will be reaching out to our Exchange attendees with other ways to become involved with the 2021 Exchange community. There are also a variety of sponsorship opportunities, reach out to our Exchange Associate Director, Michelle King (mking@ashoka.org) to learn more.

How much will the 2021 Exchange cost?

The Exchange will cost $349. This is a flat rate available to all attendees – students, faculty, staff, administrators, etc. – and will never go up.

When can I register?

Register here!

Can I register a group?

Yes! You can pay for multiple attendees at a time here. A special discount is available for bulk purchases of 5+ registrations. Reach out to Araseli at alara@ashoka.org for more details.

Are scholarships available?

Yes, scholarship opportunities are available. Learn more and apply here.

Will the 2021 Exchange be in-person or virtual?

While we would have loved to bring our community together in person, we ultimately concluded that the time is not yet right. Given the ongoing pandemic and the continuing challenges facing the higher education sector, our priority continues to be the safety of our community.

We are confident in building a high-quality conference and are exploring various scheduling and technology innovations to ensure widespread geographic participation.

Who should I contact if I have questions?
