Conference Location

The 2019 Exchange will take place for the first two days at Paradise Point Resort, 1404 Vacation Road San Diego, CA 92109. on a private island on Mission Bay, San Diego, California. The final day will take place and the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) campus in La Jolla, California. We will provide transportation to and from Paradise Point Resort to UCSD.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I present at the Exchange?

75% of the content on the Exchange agenda is sourced from our community via an application process. The presentation application is open until September 26, 2018. We accept applications for Best Practice Sessions (group presentations), interactive workshops, and Big Idea Talks. We also accept applications for facilitators for Best Practice Sessions and Big Idea Talks. We invite submissions from all perspectives including faculty, staff, students, administrators, social entrepreneurs working in higher education, etc. The agenda will be selected by an Agenda Selection Committee. Learn more here.

How do I register for the Exchange?

Registration will open on October 15, 2018. The quickest way to register is online with a credit card. Please note that all ticket prices below are for non-student participants. Ashoka U reserves a limited number of tickets for student participants at $475. Once sold out, the student ticket price is $699.

Is there an easy way to register a group?

How can I obtain a copy of my Exchange registration receipt?

Our ticketing system will email you a receipt to the email listed on your registration information. If you did not receive it, please contact Luciana Goles at lgoles@ashoka.org.

When should I arrive to the Exchange?

Registration will be open on Wednesday, February 20 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The first plenary will kick-off in the morning on Thursday, February 21. Please see our “Agenda” webpage for more details about the schedule, including Pre-Day activities on Wednesday, February 20.

What times can I check-in at registration for the Exchange?

Registration will be open at Paradise Point Resort at the convention center building on Wednesday, February 20 through Friday, February 22. Please see the times below for more details.

  • Wednesday, February 20: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Thursday, February 21: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Friday, February 22: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

How can I share information about my program with the entire Exchange community?

You can purchase an advertisement in the Exchange program to spread your message to the masses. Limited number available on a first come, first serve basis. All ads will be printed in color. Please contact lgoles@ashoka.org for more details.

What is the refund policy?

Ashoka U will provide a full refund until December 15, 2018. A 50% refund will be offered from December 16, 2018 to January 15, 2019.
