Research Connector Workshop

The Research Connector Workshop  is our first move to create ideal conditions for collaborations that link the research capacity of Changemaker Campuses with the research needs of Ashoka Fellows, Ashoka Staff, and other Changemakers.

Participants in this facilitated workshop will engage with featured guests as we surface the distinctive features of a Fellow’s model of innovation and impact that invite partnership with post-secondary; and as we explore two promising pathways into post-secondary partnership with community (research and experiential learning).

Our goal for the Research Connector Session is to create the conditions for collaborations that link the research capacity of Changemaker Campuses with the research needs of Ashoka Fellows, Ashoka Staff, and other Changemakers.

Workshop objectives:

  • To create understanding of the needs /value creation for stakeholders (Fellows & Researchers).
  • Visualize to understand how each business/organizational model works and how they might intersect.
  • Begin to create conditions for collaboration.

Featuring:

  • Jennifer De Coste, Ashoka Affiliate Fellow, Life School House;
  • Dr. Brian Belcher, Ashoka Research Chair in Research Effectiveness, Royal Roads University;
  • Dr. Deborah Zornes, Director, Research Services, Royal Roads University; and
  • Tracy Mitchell-Ashley, Faculty Developer and Change Leader at Georgian College.
