Ashoka U recognized Western with its prestigious Changemaker Campus title on Wednesday, Oct. 1, in recognition of Western’s sustainable and innovative lifestyle. The Changemaker Campus designation has been awarded to 29 university campuses worldwide since the program began in 2008. The title is given to those that excel in campus-wide social innovation education.
BELLINGHAM –Western Washington University has been selected to join the Ashoka U Changemaker Campus consortium, which now stretches across 29 campuses in five countries and provides students and faculty alike with interdisciplinary, entrepreneurial and solution-oriented skills to succeed and make a positive difference in the world.
