Exchange Collective & Exchange Studios
Inspired by Ashoka’s vsion of an Everyone a Changemaker world, the Exchange Collective is the next evolution of the Ashoka U Exchange — a global convening that inspired thousands of educators, students, and partners to transform higher education. Reimagined as a constellation of Exchange Studios, these are small, curated convenings focused on a timely issue, bringing together universities, Ashoka Fellows, and strategic partners for focused, ecosystem-building gatherings.
Each Exchange Studio will create space for deep dialogue and peer learning, bringing together diverse actors to reimagine and co-create together. The Studios can also take place around key intersectoral events, allowing participants to build connections with other networks.

Ashoka U Exchange Content:
The Ashoka U Exchange took place annually from 2011 – 2021. Starting out as a small(ish) gathering of about 150 faculty, staff, and students who were devoted to social innovation and changemaking to higher education, it grew to a large, global community of thousands of thought leaders, visionaries, innovators, and friends.
Each of the 11 Exchanges (9 in person and 2 virtually) were unique and special in their own way. Together, we criss-crossed the US, saw changemaking in action at each of our campus hosts, and connected as a global community despite unprecedented change. Ashoka U has appreciated and immensely enjoyed getting to know and learn from all of our community members and it’s been a honor to support and amplify your work.
